There are several opportunities for persons interested in working in the Early Care and Education field. The job qualifications vary depending on the position and/or the type of program chosen. The options include:

Occupations

  • Teacher, Teacher Aide/Assistant in an Infant/Toddler Program or Pre-School Program
  • Family Worker/Case Manager
  • Nurse
  • Child Care Referral Counselor
  • Registration/Licensing representative
  • Early Childhood Trainer
  • College Level Teacher of Early Childhood Education
  • Program Director of an Early Care and Education Program owned and operated by a not-for-profit or proprietary owner
  • Owner of a Nursery School or Day Care Center
